CAPTURING THE AMERICAN DREAM/ THE ARTISAN STONE MASON

“As my Grandmother always said growing up, ‘When you do something, do it con ganas.’ To her, that phrase extended to the way in which I not only pursued my life, but to how neatly I swept the floor. So whether you are early in your life and have to side hustle as a barista, or have finally made your way to the top of your field — do it all con ganas.”

Rafa Bosque, software engineering manager at LinkedIn

Carlos F. Chevez, Principal | COO

It all started in the early 2000’s as the one man show of Carlos Francis Chevez, son of a Honduran immigrant, taught the stonemason craft by his hard working, master craftsman father? It’s true. Way back in 2001, a twenty-year-old Carlos began to take life seriously. With a new son being born that year, his beloved craftsmen trade became the one route to financial security that he needed to support a growing family.
By 2010 his high-quality restoration work came into high demand in the commercial field. Carlos’ company grew, and his trained masonry (exterior brick, stone and stucco) and interior finishes (stone, tile and flooring) crews began traveling throughout Texas restoring corporate restaurant kitchens, bathrooms, and whole facilities, while adding to their expertise in waterproofing, drain and sink repair and stainless-steel cladding. Their high quality, efficient work under the Sienna Stonemasters brand became so sought after that several large corporate restaurant and entertainment companies began using his crews exclusively.
